Changes To The Guava Tools
Guava 1.0.5
Released 8th February 2001.
- The hss2html program now automatically #undefines any macros that
are predefined by the C preprocessor.
- The -htmlhdr option to hss2html has been removed, and the date stamp
comment is now written to the end of the output file rather than
the beginning.
Guava 1.0.4
Released 5th November 2000.
- The behaviour of the <FULLREF> macro has been changed to
read pairs of remote and local directory names from a file
supplied by the user. The new option -rfile can be used to
specify the name of this file to the hss2html and htt2html
programs. More than one set of directories can be supplied,
which is useful when a web site is distributed across more
than one server.
- The -MX option has been added to the htt2html program to include
'extra' files in the dependency output. In both
programs (hss2html and htt2html) the extra files now include
both the cross reference file and the FULLREF data file.
Guava 1.0.3
Released 17th June 2000.
- Line control has been added to hss2html and htt2html. This means
that error messages can accurately report the source file and
line number where the error occurred.
- The new -p option (hss2html and htt2html) can be used to turn off
line control if necessary.
- Marker tags such as <HDR>, <DATA>, etc., must now
be the only text on the line.
- The hss2html and htt2html programs now display a warning if input
files do not end with a newline.
Guava 1.0.2
Released 23rd April 2000.
- Page names can now be specified in htt2html's <HDR> tag.
- The new -d option uses diff(1) to avoid replacing one output file
with another with identical contents. This helps to avoid
unnecessary updates when many pages are generated from a single
source file.
- htt2html now has its own -M option to generate dependency information
from source files containing templates.
- New -MX (hss2html) and -Mp (htt2html) options for fine control over
dependency generation.
- Minor bug fixes and improvements.
Guava Version 1.0.1
Released 11th December 1999.
- This version added the <IMPORT> tag to hss2html, and the -MG
option to deal with missing files when generating dependencies.
- Wildcard expansion was added to the webbuilder and websrccopy
programs.
Guava Version 1.0
Released 22nd November 1999.
- This was the first public release of the Guava tools.
